First UK show in two years! DURAN DURAN today confirmed that they have secured The Lyceum Theatre in
the West End of London on Monday December 3 as the replacement venue for their first UK show in two years. The Lyceum date
replaces the previously announced Odeon Leicester Square play that was cancelled two weeks ago by city officials, who were concerned
that the venue and surrounding area would be under siege from thousands of hopeful fans attempting to buy tickets for the concert that
everyone believed would sell out in a matter of minutes.

celebration of the launch of their upcoming album, RED CARPET MASSACRE, which will be released November on Epic Records.
Marking the first time that any band has undertaken such an extended run on a Big Apple stage, Duran Duran are developing a unique
show that will see them performing not only their innumerable hits from the past 29 years but also the whole of their new record and a
special electro set that promises to delight their loyal army of fans.
Performing for over two hours a night on November 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10 and 12 at the Barrymore Theatre on 47th Street and Broadway,

Red Carpet Massacre: Title of album! After a successful trip to New York to work on some final mixes for
their upcoming release, Red Carpet Massacre, the members of Duran Duran have returned to the UK
to put the finishing touches on the album. Having debuted some tracks last week at both a special
show at the Hammerstein Ballroom for their Fan Community, and a listening party for the media,
band members Simon Le Bon, Nick Rhodes, John Taylor and Roger Taylor were thrilled with the results.
Feedback from those in attendance teemed with excitement for the CD, coming this Fall on Epic Records.
The band have recorded Red Carpet Massacre over the past year, starting in New York City last
September with Justin Timberlake and Timbaland at The Manhattan Centre and then in the UK with producer
Nate 'Danja' Hills and mixer/engineer Jimmy Douglass.

Nick Rhodes' vision was a guitar that could be used to create live video streaming. To accomplish this Sims Custom
Shop installed a unique custom built circuit board that was manufactured incorporating 100's of tiny 4-colour LEDs.
This was then built into the guitar body and placed behind a thin Plexyglass screen. Controlled by a laptop computer
and a software, this produces an infinite array of patterns and colour in motion, enabling the user to express
themselves in their own unique fashion. The guitar is currently programmed with footage from Duran Duran's last
world tour curated by Nick Rhodes.

earlier this month. The Rio hitmaker and Bernales (35) married in the Jalousie Plantation in St Lucia on 12 May (07)

2005 after meeting in Washington D.C., where Bernales' father Fernando was based as a diplomat. The pair were
attended to by Bernales' sisters Giuliana and Melissa and Taylor's teenage daughter Ellea as bridesmaids. This is
the second marriage for Taylor, who has three children with his ex-wife Giovanna, who he divorced in 2004 after

John headlined a benefit show for the Brentwood School in Los Angeles at
their annual fundraising event, Brentwood Live. Joining John, who took lead vocals on many of
the songs, was Roger on drums, Dom Brown on guitar, Mindi Abair on sax and vocals, and Michael Des
Barres on vocals. They did a couple days of rehearsal and performed a short set Saturday afternoon. Set list:

Instant Karma: The Campaign to Save Darfur the new global "Make Some Noise" project
from Amnesty International, seeks to mobilize millions around the urgent catastrophe in Darfur, Sudan.
It combines the power of John Lennon's music recorded by some of the world's best-known artists,
together with cutting-edge forms of instant activism enabled by Internet and mobile technologies.
More than 50 musical artists (names to be announced) have joined this international effort that combines John
Lennon music, technology, and human rights activism. The CD, "Instant Karma: The Campaign to Save Darfur,"
will be released by Warner Brothers Records and arrive in stores the week of June 12th. Additional singles
from the album will be released leading up to the full album, along with special product offers coupled with
opportunities to take action. Proceeds derived from the entire campaign will go directly to support Amnesty
International’s urgent work on Darfur and other human rights crises worldwide.

DD were forced to scrap their new album after the departure of guitarist ANDY TAYLOR.
Taylor walked out midway through the US leg of the British band's world tour in October (06), just as Duran Duran
were in the studio working with JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE and producer TIMBALAND.
Keyboard player NICK RHODES
admits the split was difficult, but insists the band's new material is close to completion. He says,
"The album had to be scrapped when five became four. We started again and now we're nearly there." And Rhodes
has revealed the band are keen to work with Canadian singer NELLY FURTADO on their new release.
He says, "We've got one track left that needs a girl's voice on it. We're trying to work something out

With great sadness the band has learned that Colin Thurston passed
away on Monday. Colin worked as a producer on Duran Duran's first two releases, and the band
had a reunion of sorts with him in 2004 when they played at the Birmingham NEC.
